Cowboys make roster moves

The Cowboys didn't wait until the official cutdown day on Tuesday to make their moves trimming five players. The roster is now at 75....

They released four players -- ex-TCU cornerback Quincy Butler, WR Daniel Polk, QB Jeff Terrell and punter Jay Ottovegio. The Cowboys also reached an injury settlement with FB Ronnie Cruz.

Cruz suffered a dislocated shoulder against Denver and had not returned since. Butler's chance of making the roster all but ended when he suffered a hamstring injury in training camp. The Cowboys will trim the roster to 53 on Saturday.
