Too Tall Jones came out a few Fridays ago to see my wife's band at a club in Dallas. He stayed very late and we talked for quite a while. He even invited us over to his house to hang out that night but we couldn't do it because of prior commitments the next morning.

He told me he was doing something with Jerry Jones the following week and it turned out to be the Cowboys Silver and Blue practice/autograph session.

Anyway - we talked a lot about old Cowboys stuff for sure but he was very interested in discussing the upcoming season.

In his opinion, Dallas is the most talented team in the NFC and San Diego is the most talented in the AFC. He thinks New England is getting too old on defense and as he said over and over (and over) - you can't win without defense...

He thinks Rivers is "good enough" to complement all the other weapons SD has on offense. We'll see I guess...

Now this was a few weeks before the Merriman injury so I wonder if he is still predicting San Diego to take the AFC now...
