Nate Jones - worse then even I thought...

Well after going through my review of the 1st quarter of the game it was even worse than I thought. Nate Jones was directly responsible for the first 2 3rd down conversions to open the game and the second TD pass.
On the first 3rd down conversion he played way too far off of Wes Welker and then fell down allowing him to pick up a 1st down on 3rd and 12
On another 3rd down conversion he got beat on a simple out route and never laid a hand on the WR to jam him at the line
On the 2nd TD Welker ran right past him like he wasn´t there - I think Hamelin was shocked on the double coverage that Jones didn´t even slow him down so Welker ran in between both of them.
Before I hear someone in the media say - well who are you going to pick up off of waivers that would play better?
Right now I would take anyone - you can get worse than getting beat on every play - I saw Brady simply looking to see who he was covering a few times and then immediately direct the pass in that direction...
His technique is horrible - he back peddles and keeps his shoulders perpendicular to the line of scrimmage too long. He only turns his shoulders and runs AFTER the WR has run past him - IT IS TOO LATE AT THAT POINT :)
Anyway until we get Henry healthy or get a new CB any team with 3 good WRs will eat us alive. Luckily in the NFL that is rare so we will get by but this is by no means a championship defense when you have someone on the field so easily beaten...

Read on the Cowboys website
Read on the Cowboys website in the Spags answer section that they've considered bringing up Alan Ball and putting Nate on the bench.
Also, as you pointed out, when Henry is back that's a different backfield. I don't know the outcome but should the two play again it should be a little closer game at the end.
