Romo is going to try to play

Danny Smith's picture

Word around town here is that Romo practiced today and thinks he can play on Sunday against the Rams. It is now up to the coaching staff. Gotta love the attitude but maybe we can beat the Rams without him? What do you guys think?

I love the fact that he

I love the fact that he wants to play and i guess if he can still throw the ball equal to what brad johnson can do then i let him play, but if not you cant risk his finger getting hurt more especially against the rams. but Jerry Jones did say he caught the ball from him yesterday and tony threw with the same velocity so i guess we will see.

ROMO FINALLY GOT IN SOMEONE

ROMO FINALLY GOT IN SOMEONE FACE.THAT SHOWS LEADERSHIP TO ME

I remember Favre playing

I remember Favre playing with that thumb injury in 1999 and I think he hurt his team, even though he kept his streak going. It worked out okay for us, because I think Favre's thumb is the main reason Dallas won the "Gathering" game that year - the first game in their careers that Irvin, AIkman and Emmitt all missed the same game due to injury. Favre missed a sure TD pass on the first play of the game, and threw the game-sealing INT late. The thumb absolutely impacted his accuracy.

There's also the additional risk of making the injury worse, and missing a lot more games.

Having said all that - it's kind of like play-calling; when it works, you're a genius, when it doesn't you're an idiot. If Romo plays, and plays well enough to win without exacerbating the injury, we will al celebrate his warrior attitude and leadership. If he goes out and cracks his finger in the first quarter, we will say what a weak coach Wade is to not make Romo sit for the good of the team.

Don't worry, I'm not wimping out on offering an opinion.

I say: PLAY.
