OK - hopefully you saw my blog post on Saturday about what we need to do to stop the Pats - come out in a pass defense - force them to run which attempts to nullify their biggest weapons. Play a 3-3-5 defense with tons of different coverages and try to let Sammy Morris beat you. You can play run defense on emotion anyway, blah, blah - it is all on record.

Well as it turns out - based on this article - Phillips strategy was the opposite - stop the run and make them throw on us. And, when asked about it he said he would do it again! Yes - you read that correctly...

Like the columnist said - double team Smush Parker and say - ok Kobe - beat me! Thatś right folks - since he said he would do it again - if we do meet this team in the Super Bowl - we wil lbe focused once again on stopping the run!

OK - time for me to say it - until we stop a good offense and actually design some defensive schemes and gameplans that work on a good offense -

Wade Phillips is an idiot...

He is currently riding the coattails of a successful Jason Garrett/Tony Romo offense and not bringing anything to the table defensively. Until I read the article above I thought maybe our approach was OK and we just got beat by better players but when you read stuff like that it is VERY upsetting!

I am not a Monday morning QB - I will always tell you what I think we should do up front before the game and not judge players after the fact (I said Nate Jones was horrible in the preseason...)

Hey - at least he said he would now go for it down by 14 instead of kicking the FG late in the game - I think he thought we would get a ton of breaks at the end like we did against Buffalo - think again Wade - well coached teams don´t play like that...

Hopefully his approach for this upcoming game will not be to stop the pass first and let this Peterson guy just run on us :)
